The financial administration of APBSEA is regulated by our treasurers who ensure that the operations and programmes run under APBSEA are financially sustainable and tenable. They also devise the financial strategy of APBSEA and advise on fund-raising matters.

Dujeepa Samarasekera

Dr Dujeepa Samarasekera is the Senior Director, Centre for Medical Education (CenMED), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSoM), and Senior Consultant (Health Professions Education) at the Ministry of Health Singapore. Dr Dujeepa has been involved in curriculum development, quality assurance and accreditation and faculty development at both undergraduate and postgraduate level health professional courses.
Dr Dujeepa leads the School of Medicine Continuous Quality Improvement team at the deanery. He is a member of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, Graduate Medical Education Committee, Faculty Assessment Committee and Curriculum Implementation Task Force at the School of Medicine and National University Health System (NUHS).
At the regional and international level Dr Dujeepa is a member of the ASPIRE for Excellence Panel at the European Association for Medical Education to evaluate medical schools that have achieved excellence in specific areas of faculty development, assessment etc. and Co-chair the Asia Pacific Scholar Network (APMENet) in medical education. He was the inaugural elected President of College of Clinical Educators at Academy of Medicine Singapore and immediate past president of the Association of Medical Education for Western Pacific region.

Rathi Saravanan
Lead Education Associate
Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE), Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore
Dr Rathi Saravanan is a biomedical scientist by training and a passionate medical educator. She is currently the Lead Education Associate and Lead for the Graduate Certificate Programme at the Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) at DUKE-NUS Medical School. Previously, she was a Team-Based Learning (TBL) Facilitator and supported the MBBS program curriculum development and delivery at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University Singapore. One of her key commitments lies in mentoring and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students. She received her Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and her PhD in Structural Biology from the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is also a recipient of prestigious fellowships including the Indian Institute of Science Young Fellow and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine Post-Doctoral Fellowship.
